Taylor Pate is a Southwest-side Chicago-born-and-raised student and artist, majoring in Visual Arts and minoring in Education and Architectural Studies at the University of Chicago. She has a large passion for live music which sparked her work in music photography, while also inspired by the community cultivated in the music scene.

As an artist, Taylor is a sculptor, primarily assemblage, as well as conceptual landscape photographer, exploring the relationship between the land, body, and waste.

Taylor is currently the Co-head of Marketing for the University of Chicago’s Major Activities Board (MAB), a recognized student organization that brings concerts and other entertainment events to the University of Chicago campus. In this role, she’s responsible for overseeing marketing materials such as social media posts, physical media distribution, merch, and branding. She’s additionally responsible for communications and photography.

Taylor additionally works with the publications Off the Record Press and Hard Launch Press.
