Taylor Pate is a Southwest-side Chicago-born-and-raised student and artist, majoring in Visual Arts and minoring in Education and Architectural Studies at the University of Chicago. She has a large passion for live music which sparked her work in music photography, while also inspired by the community cultivated in the music scene. As an artist, Taylor is a sculptor, primarily assemblage, as well as conceptual landscape photographer, exploring the relationship between the land, body, and waste.
