Taylor Pate is a Southwest-side Chicago-born-and-raised student and artist, earning a her B.A. in Visual Arts, with a minor in Education, at the University of Chicagon. She has a large passion for live music which sparked her work in music photography, while also inspired by the community cultivated in the music scene.

Taylor has worked press at festivals such as Riot Fest, Pitchfork, and Sound and Gravity, worked with clients like Underscores, Miss Bashful, and Six Sex, and has worked with venues such as The Giant Penny Whistle, Outset, and Subterranean.

Taylor served two years on the board of the University of Chicago’s Major Activities Board (MAB), with her last year serving as the Co-head of Marketing + Head of Media. MAB is a recognized student organization that brings concerts and other entertainment events to the University of Chicago campus, hosting two flagship events, Winter Freeze and Summer Breeze.. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing marketing materials such as social media posts, physical media distribution, merch, and branding. She’s additionally responsible for communications and photography, and supported venue outreach, artist booking, and volunteer and team member coordination.
